Welsh Government are advertising for a new Professional Advisor to include measures relating to CWS Bill.
Does this imply that the Welsh Government expects the Senedd to automatically wave through this Westminster Bill on a devolved matter?
Does this imply that it’s not clear how they intend to use these unprecedented new powers?
Quite what other uses could have been found for this £61,098 – £73,057 a year of taxpayer’s money?
And will the person be equipped for the job?
given that it is only open to those who have worked or are working for LAs or in such related areas on these matters,
meaning that only those who have worked in agreement with Welsh Government policy to date can apply.
Meaning that those with significant lived experience, including those with many years running support groups for a wide range of children’s needs, who are well used to the challenges of trying to navigate the various systems in question, all these valuable cohort are excluded from applying.
Experience of the LA perspective welcomed.
Experience from the perspectives of families and children, excluded.
